Lucasfilm has unveiled details of its eagerly anticipated 'Star Wars' television series, 'The Acolyte', which is set to delve into the unexplored era of the High Republic, hundreds of years before the events of the Skywalker Saga.
The series follows the story of a Padawan, played by Amandla Stenberg, who reunites with her Jedi Master, played by Jodie Turner-Smith, to investigate a series of shocking crimes that threaten to plunge the galaxy into chaos. Alongside Stenberg and Turner-Smith, the cast includes Dafne Keen, Lee Jung-jae, Manny Jacinto, Charles Wu, and Rebecca Henderson.
'The Acolyte' promises to explore the dark side of the Force and the origins of the Sith, with the investigation leading the Padawan and her Master into a dangerous encounter with a warrior from their past who has turned to the dark side.
