In a thrilling race that kept fans on the edge of their seats, Josef Newgarden emerged victorious in the 106th running of the Indianapolis 500. Newgarden, driving the No. 2 Chevrolet for Team Penske, crossed the finish line ahead of a hard-charging field of competitors.

Despite facing some challenges early in the race, Newgarden remained focused and determined. As the race progressed, he made his way through the pack and into contention for the lead. With just a few laps remaining, Newgarden passed pole-sitter Scott McLaughlin and held on to secure the victory.

The win was Newgarden's second Indy 500 triumph, making him the first driver to win the race back-to-back since Helio Castroneves in 2001 and 2002. It was also Team Penske's 19th Indy 500 victory, extending their record as the most successful team in the history of the race.
