Devin Booker's Ankle Sprain Delays His Return

Phoenix Suns Guard Suffers Setback

Updated Timetable for Return

PHOENIX, Ariz. (AP) - The Phoenix Suns have listed Devin Booker on their injury report with a sprained left ankle, delaying his return to the court. The All-Star guard was initially expected to be available for the season opener on Oct. 19, 2023, but his sprain has pushed back his timetable.

Booker suffered the injury in Phoenix's nationally televised win over the Golden State Warriors on March 4, 2023. He rolled his ankle late in the fourth quarter on a drive into traffic to the basket and fell to the floor.

The Suns have not yet provided a specific timeline for Booker's return, but he is expected to miss multiple games. His absence will be a significant blow to a team that is already without starting center Deandre Ayton, who is serving a 25-game suspension for violating the NBA's anti-drug policy.
