WNBA Tiebreaker Rules
Breaking Ties
When two or more teams finish with the same record, the following criteria will be used to break the tie, in order:1. Head-to-Head Record
The team with the better record in head-to-head games against the other team(s) involved in the tie will be ranked higher.
2. Winning Percentage Against Teams with .500 or Better Record
The team with the better winning percentage against teams with a record of .500 or better at the end of the regular season will be ranked higher.
3. Point Differential in Head-to-Head Games
If the teams are still tied after the first two criteria, the team with the better point differential in head-to-head games will be ranked higher.
